Amanda has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Education. Her previous teaching experience gives a strong base to work with youth and families. She has additional experience in crisis response and mental health services.
Her work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Rogerian and Humanistic approaches. She has additional training in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Amanda practices from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered perspective. She offers a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, clarify what matters most to them, and take meaningful steps forward through thoughtful, reflective conversations.
